You may have noticed that when you feel bad, it’s much easier to wallow in the way you feel than it is to snap out of it. In fact, things that you normally enjoy may annoy you when you’re in a bad mood.
That song that you usually dance to may make your head hurt. Your spouse’s voice, children’s laughter, and even the chirping of birds may drive you up the wall. The one thing that feels natural to you at such a time may be complaining about your circumstances with someone who shares your gloomy disposition or someone who will join you in a negative rant.
