I’m not a huge fan of most doctors, but I absolutely love the Doctor Oz show. Whereas most doctors offer one prescription after another, Doctor Oz is more focused on natural remedies and preventative measures. No medication or surgery compares to the body’s ability to protect and heal itself naturally.
On the Doctor Oz show, natural remedies and prevention are discussed for everything from skin care, the common cold and weight loss to sexual problems, aging and cancer prevention. I hope you enjoy the 10 natural health ideas below. [Read the full blog article →]

Do What You Love, Love What You Do
It’s easy to greet each day with a smile when you do what you love for a living—when a thrill for your work motivates and inspires you to greatness. We’d all love to feel that way.
If you’re one of the “lucky” ones who can honestly, openly, with a straight-face say, “I love my job,” today’s inspirational thoughts on loving what you do aren’t necessary for you. This is inspiration for the average Joe who puts in a full day’s work without the pleasure derived from doing what he loves. [Read the full blog article →]

This week, my focus has been on being happy. Not being happy because of someone or something, but experiencing the true happiness that comes from within.
So, I’ve decided to follow up this week’s article on Pollutants to a Happy Life with anlist of awesome quotes about happiness. I hope they bring you smiles, pleasure, and of course, happiness.
25 Quotes about Happiness

2. “What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but, scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.” –Joseph Addison

Ready to Live a Happy Life?
I firmly believe that well-being, a happy life, is the destiny of every person on this Earth. It may not always seem like it, but we are born to create and experience happiness in life.
Unfortunately, a variety of pollutants fill the environment around us. I’m not talking about physical pollutants like smoke and smog. I’m talking about pollutants of our minds, hearts and the world at large. Pollutants that have a way of keeping true happiness at bay.
We don’t have to allow these toxins to become a part of who we are, but many of us do so inadvertently. We find ourselves with toxic beliefs, toxic relationships and toxic circumstances that persist under the guise of normalcy. These pollutants can be found in every country, city and community across the globe. However, open-minded awareness, along with the choice to experience happiness in life, brings change.
As you review this list, remember that you are 100% empowered to single out and transform any toxic elements that threaten to pollute your happy life.
10 Happy Life Pollutants
1. Self-Righteousness. Every human being desires a degree of acceptance, freedom and understanding; but self-righteousness leads many to demand agreement, conformity and validation. At the core of religious intolerance, racism, sexism, political strife and war is the destructive belief, “I am right and you are wrong.” This belief leads people to completely discard the feelings and rights of other individuals, thus creating unhappiness in life and in the world. Happy (or Not So Happy) Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day, Lover’s Day, Sweetheart’s Day—no matter what name you use to reference February 14, it’s a day associated with celebrations of love. Couples regard this day as an opportunity to express gratitude for the bond between them.
Stores are filled with lovey-dovey gifts you can buy for that special someone, commercials encourage you to send roses, and every movie seems to tell a love story. But what if you don’t have a special someone? What if you are unhappily in love?
A stroll through the aisles of convenience stores is enough to make you vomit if you’re dreading Valentine’s Day. Everything from stuffed bears and bright red balloons to heart-shaped candy and singing cards reeks of romance.
What seems so sweet when you’re madly in love, is actually quite bittersweet (or even torturous) for many others. Fortunately it doesn’t have to be that way. Valentine’s Day can be a beautiful experience for everyone, regardless of relationship status.
Instead of viewing Valentine’s Day as a day all about lovers, see it as a day all about love. Relationships of all kinds—not just marriages and courtships—can be strengthened by expressions of love on this special day. After all, the people you make love to aren’t the only ones you love. Right? [Read the full blog article →]

Big Changes on My Self Improvement Journey
My dear readers and friends, I’ve made a big transition in my life that I’d like to share with you. 5 days ago, I packed up my and my daughter’s belongings and moved more than 800 miles away from the only place I’ve ever lived.
I left home, leaving behind family, friends and everything familiar. That’s the move of someone daring, risky, fearless, spontaneous—someone so much unlike me.
I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, which was still my place of residence until 5 days ago. I grew up in Memphis, my entire family is there, the weather is great, the cost of living is low and my closest friends are always right around the corner. Nonetheless, I have wanted to spread my wings and fly far away for as long as I can remember. [Read the full blog article →]

The good times, the sunshine, the highs in your life—these things are so easy to appreciate. But what about the difficulties? What about the fear, pain, sorrow and hardship? It seems absurd to give thanks for them, yet today I’ll ask you to do just that. I encourage you to give thanks for life’s struggles, for they garnish a bland existence with the flavor of life.
Nothing breathes life into the experience of a thing like the lack of it. Think of those possessions most valued in this world—money, diamonds, gold, rubies. Is it not their scarcity, which makes them desirable? Is it not fear, which allows us to understand the feeling of safety; pain that teaches the delight of relief? The progression of a relationship comes in many phases, but by far the one that couples tend to enjoy the most is the notorious “honeymoon phase.” And who can blame them? This is when everything is new, exciting and blissfully perfect. In fact, most wish this phase would last forever. While this is impossible because the intensity of the honeymoon phase naturally decreases on its own, it doesn’t necessarily have to fizzle out entirely.
It takes hard work and dedication to maintain a meaningful relationship, but it can be done. Continue reading below to learn how.
#1. Communicate. Dating experts and specialists for years have stressed the importance of communication in keeping a relationship strong. Some have even suggested that simply talking a mere 10 minutes at the dinner table can help those that have been married for 50 years or more. Granted, these conversations need to consist of quality.
