Dr. Wayne Dyer

Some people just seem to have a knack for inspiring, motivating and bringing out the best in others.  That is definitely the case with Dr. Wayne Dyer.

As a self improvement guru, inspirational speaker, and author, Wayne Dyer touches the lives of people all over the world.

His positive teachings jolt those who have forgotten their greatness, serving as the ultimate reminder of the personal power that lives within us all.

Wayne Dyer has published more than 30 self help books, including the New York Times bestsellers 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace, The Power of Intention and (one of my personal favorites) Change Your Thoughts—Change Your Life. You may have even seen him on PBS where several of his books are featured as a national public television special.

His successes and his strategies for helping others to achieve success, are even more inspiring when you consider that Wayne Dyer spent his childhood in orphanages and foster homes. He is an amazing inspiration to the disadvantaged and to anyone who has ever felt hopeless.

I hope you find this collection of my favorite Wayne Dyer quotes as inspiring as I do.

Quotes from Wayne Dyer, PhD.

  1. Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.
  2. When you stop needing more of everything, more of what you desire seems to arrive in your life.
  3. When you stop needing more of everything, more of what you desire seems to arrive in your life.
  4. Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body rather than a body with a soul. [Keep reading Wayne Dyer quotes]

“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”

Where is Your Courage?

Hello dear courageous friend. Do I refer to you in a way that you don’t see yourself?  Do you regard yourself as the courageous person you are?

Courage comes in so many forms, many of which you embody.  So, what is courage? Who has courage? Do you have courage? [Keep reading Inspirational Thoughts on Courage...]

communication-skills

“The two words ‘information’ and ‘communication’ are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things. Information is giving out; communication is getting through.”
~Sydney J. Harris

Do you really—I mean really—understand the value of good communication skills?  We all wish that everyone else had them, but this key to success starts with the man (or woman) in the mirror.

No matter what you currently have going for yourself, communication can stand between you and the next level.  It’s one of the most critical success skills you could ever master.

If you’re not money, fame or power hungry, you may not think this is all that important.  Well, you’re wrong!  When you lack good communication skills, your recipe for success is like a cake without flour.  You’re missing the main ingredient.

Let’s take a look at 12 of the many reasons why good communication skills can blast you into the arena of self improvement success.

12 Good Communication Skill Benefits

1.) People invest in you. Good communication skills allow you to sell what you have to offer in a way that makes others want to buy it.  If you’re a salesperson, this can be just what you need to meet those monthly quotas.  You’re able to inform in a way that shines light on the benefit of your products or services without coming off as manipulative or pushy.  This is equally valuable for employees who want to ask for a raise, job seekers who want to get hired and aspiring business owners who need investors. “There will always be dreams grander or humbler than your own, but there will never be a dream exactly like your own..for you are unique and more wondrous than you know.”
~Linda Staten

take care of yourself

There are times when we focus so much on reaching out, helping and doing what’s best for others that we completely forget about the person who needs us most.

If you do nothing else today, remember to take extra special care of that person.

That person is you.

Love yourself from the deepest part of your being—completely, unconditionally, faithfully. Listen to your heart’s desires.  Relax your mind and body, allowing all the good of the Universe to flow effortlessly through you. [Keep reading inspirational thoughts...]

save moneyThis is part 2 of 38 Money Saving Tips You Can’t Afford to Miss.  If you didn’t read part 1, you missed out on the first 25 easy ways to save money.  You may want to check it out at the link above.

Easy Ways to Save Money (# 26 – 38)

26. Get on the coupon clipping bandwagon
If you haven’t caught on to the money saving value of coupons yet, get with the program. I’ve learned so much from CouponMom.com, and so can you. One great tip is to clip coupons weekly and don’t allow yourself to run out of commonly used items. Hold on to coupons until the item is on sale at your local store and then go in for the kill. You’ll get great values like brand name toothpaste for $.50 and 12 packs of bathroom tissue for $3.00.

27. Always comparison shop
People who shop on impulse are a salesperson’s dream, but a financial adviser’s nightmare. If you’re making a significant purchase, always comparison-shop to save money. This is most important when you’re shopping for insurance, vehicles, mobile service providers, furniture stores, schools, electronics, etc. You don’t want to sacrifice quality for price, but you do want to get the absolute best you can without breaking the bank. Higher prices don’t necessarily equal higher value. So, shop around and save money. [Keep reading Ways to Save Money...]

Easy Ways to Save Money

1. Unplug appliances
There’s a common misconception that we’re only using energy when an appliance is in use.  That’s far from true.  Up to 40% of energy costs in a home are accumulated by items that are turned off.  This concept is called a phantom load and the culprits are called energy/electricity vampires.  The usual suspects are TVs, video games, DVD players, computers, stereos, chargers, lamps, kitchen appliances. Try plugging these items into a power strip so that you can unplug them all from the outlet at once when not in use. Of course you do NOT want to turn your refrigerator off at anytime. “There isn’t a person anywhere who isn’t capable of doing more than he thinks he can.” ~Henry Ford

no-limits

In this world of endless possibilities, nothing limits you but your thoughts. It may seem that circumstances, people, locations, limitations stand in the way of your dreams; but this is all an illusion.  It’s an illusion created by fear of your own greatness.

The only true limitation is the one created by your thoughts.  Wherever you are in life right now is the perfect place for growth, expansion and progress.  Choose to go a step higher, to blossom beautifully in accordance with the endless possibilities for your life. take things for grantedI woke up this morning, showered and began to complain.  I have so much to do and nothing is getting done fast enough.

I’m not quite settled into my new place, my bank doesn’t have a single branch in the state I’ve moved to, half of my clothes are in boxes, the hard water here sucks every ounce of moisture from my skin, my daughter did a half-ass job cleaning the dishes, the carpet needs to be replaced, laundry is piling up, there’s nothing in the refrigerator that I want to eat and the car is a mess. For the last few weeks, my entire life has felt unbelievably out of whack.

My Wake Up Call

As I dragged myself toward the kitchen, I was slapped in the face by catastrophic news that awakened me from my pity party.  At that very moment, as I griped and complained about trivial aspects of everyday life, thousands of Japanese families face a real nightmare.

They struggle to survive a tsunami-earthquake disaster that’s wreaking havoc and ripping lives apart.  As for me—I’m dwelling on carpet stains.  The news hit me so hard, leaving behind the most poignant realization: It is not my life that sucks this morning, it is my attitude.
