What better reflects the quality of our lives than the quality of our relationships? There’s not much I can think of to answer that question.
Think of two people you know who are genuinely satisfied with their lives. Chances are good they’re not engaged in a bunch of toxic, broken or otherwise unfulfilling relationships. In fact, you may notice that they enjoy strong bonds with people who love and support them.
It’s no mere coincidence that positive, authentic relationships subsist in the lives of positive, authentic people. [Keep reading this post on Good Relationships...]

Now, you don’t have to tell me I have made mistakes in my life. I’ve made more than I can count and I love math. But one thing I realized throughout my 23 years living on this earth is nothing can be achieved without failure. Failure breed success and without it, success is impossible.
Today I show you how Mr. Failure taught me more than success ever could and 6 electrifying lessons that changed my life.
“I know this may be the first time you ever hear this but I’ve realized that, you, Mr. Failure, have taught me more than I could have ever imagined.”
Mr. Failure looks at me with droopy eyes. He sips his tea like I’m wasting his time. But that how he’s supposed to act- carefree, like a California G (general). He smiled indifferently to the whole scheme of things and made me swallow my pride. I threw caution to the wind and continued to bare my heart, but was interjected my Mr. Success (Mr. Failure’s arch enemy).
Mr. Success waved at me. He had jewelry on each finger, almost blinding my vision. His hand waved back and forth, over the golden bracelet he had on. The cigar smoke in his left hand slid into the air like a kite, his face was so indescribably great that this author couldn’t give you a depiction even if he tried. [Read more...]
What Does Your Past Have to Offer?

While we often discuss the importance of letting go of the past, today’s inspirational thoughts inspire you to embrace the residual gifts that the past leaves behind.
The past is gone, but it never vanishes without a trace. These traces are with us all in the present moment. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. The determining factor is always the individual lenses through which you see your Now.
The residue of the past is nothing less than a present. Though you are absolutely free to do with it as you please, it is there for your benefit.
With both your physical and spiritual eyes, take a close look at the amazing person staring back at you in the mirror today. See all that is good and right, beautiful and strong, experienced and wise. See the evolution of a person who has lived—a person who has a past from which to learn, grow and move forward.
As you greet your new and improved self each morning, give thanks for the layers you’ve shed in the past. Give thanks that you are not the person you were yesterday, the day before, the year or decade before; but also give thanks for the origin of you. [Keep reading What Your Past Has...]

For the most part, would you say it’s pretty easy to point out the self confident people in a room? Wait…don’t be so quick to answer that.
Self confidence is one of those often-mentioned seldom-understood phenomena. We look for it, desire it, admire it. But do we have it? Do we really even know it when we see it?
All too often, we confuse confidence with ego; but the two aren’t even in the same ballpark. In fact, it’s safe to say ego and confidence are polar opposites. Clearly, a person with an overgrown ego is great at standing out in a crowd. Somehow and some way, they will attract attention. It may be the way they talk incessantly about themselves, gloating shamelessly, stealing the show and (oftentimes) invalidating others in the process. It may be the attention-grabbing walk, flashy clothes, jewelry, loud voice. Or maybe it’s the way they flaunt about with style and flair—flirting, talking, befriending everyone in sight. With ego, the mission is to impress.
Ego vs Self Confidence
The difference between ego and confidence is that ego stands out because it needs to. It needs to be fed through outside sources so that it might sustain itself. It finds every possible way to say, “Look at me” and “Like me.”
Having confidence, on the other hand, means having the courage to simply say, “I AM me.” When you are fully confident, you don’t mind standing out in the crowd. However, unlike the confidence-lacking person with a big ego, you’re just as happy not standing out. [Keep reading ego vs confidence...]

“It’s choice–not chance–that determines your destiny.” Jean Nidetch
What could be more inspiring than knowing for sure that YOU WILL live your destiny? Perhaps very few things, aside from knowing that you also CHOOSE that destiny.
You are not a slave to some static, predetermined outcome that’s completely out of your control. That is, unless you think you are. Other than your core destiny, which is simply to be, you are without limitation.
You can be happy or sad, aware or naive, dreadful or zestful, rich or poor. Your destiny is multidimensional, flexible, dynamic, and—most importantly—determined solely by you. [Keep reading Choose Your Destiny...]
