A Little About Me…

Hello there. I’m Nea.

Thank you so much for visiting Self Improvement Saga.

In addition to the life changing self improvement ideas you’ll find on this blog; you’ll get to know some of my innermost thoughts, beliefs, principles and desires.  Nonetheless, I think it’s important to give you a brief summary upfront about who I am.

I’m a 34 year old mother, a transformational life coach, a bit of a rebel and the ultimate optimist.  My greatest joy and greatest challenge in life is Brandye, my amazing teenage daughter. In my opinion, nothing tops parenting as being more fun yet scary, enlightening yet confusing, and rewarding yet overwhelming.

I am very spiritual and committed to spiritual development, yet I’m not a religious person.  I love and accept people of all faiths, religions and belief systems.

I am a bit of an introvert, yet I am an extremely compassionate person who loves reaching out to help others.  Like many people, I chased money and followed advice in my younger years rather than chasing my dreams. That led me to education and career experience in Information Technology. However, I always knew my passions were writing and self improvement.   Finally, I’m doing what I love. Woo Hoo!!!

Even as a rebellious teenager, I craved a greater understanding of this thing called life.  How do I get more out of life? Where does happiness come from?  What’s my life purpose?  Is everything really pre-destined?  Those are just a few of the questions I asked.  I read personal development books and actively searched for that little something that seemed to be missing.

It wasn’t until I was about 29 that I saw the movie The Secret and learned of the Universal Law of Attraction. I’ve since realized that this movie didn’t do a very good job of teaching the truths of the Universal laws, but it was just what I needed at the time that I saw it.

It was as if I could feel myself being called towards something that was saying “you’re on the right track now.” The Law of Attraction message resonated with me so deeply that I dove into every available resource for a deeper understanding.

I used my knowledge of the Universal laws of attraction to cope with and drastically improve my life during a time of great difficulty; and I decided that nothing felt more “right” to me than dedicating my life to helping others do the same.

Self Improvement Saga is not a Law of Attraction website, but many of the life-changing principles regarded as “the secret” are at the core of the self improvement ideas you’ll read here.  It is my hope that you will benefit as I have, thus expanding who you are and following your bliss.
